The Clinical Trials Community is a platform of the African Academy of Sciences. Our goal is to increase the level of Clinical Trial investments in Africa by increasing the visibility of African clinical trialists and research sites as well as making transparent and accessible individual country regulatory and ethics procedures to inform decision making by sponsors. The Clinical Trials Community provides a platform for constant engagement among key stakeholders to increase efficiency and promote steady collaborations.

O U R G O A L S

1. Increase visibility of African Clinical Trialists and Sites by indicating the geographical location and

corresponding disease burden.

2. Reduce unnecessary duplication of efforts by providing access to current site feasibility data.

3. Improving predictability by providing access to regulatory and ethics requirements across

countries and an online platform for sponsor engagement.

4. Reducing bias in funding across countries and disease areas by highlighting gaps and promoting

synergy across strategic funders.

The CTC online platform makes the process of identifying African clinical trials sites effortless by providing easy access to African clinical trialists, site feasibility data and regulatory and ethics information all on one platform.
